“Dogs and people are alike in at least one respect – It’s easier to stay in shape than to get in shape. I believe that being proactive about fitness is key to preventing so many of the chronic, and expensive, health issues dog owners face. Get into the routine of physical activity and be more informed about what your dog craves in terms of exercise. This promises to be a whole new frontier for canine health that Gail is helping pioneer.”

Chris Zink DVM, PhD Canine Sports Medicine Consultant
Named the 2009 Outstanding Woman Veterinarian of the Year by the AWVF.

“These classes combine some of the most successful techniques in competitive training with the energizing atmosphere of group exercise. It’s wonderful for your dog’s health, but equally as beneficial for the health of your relationship. I can’t think of a more effective way to bond with your animal.”

The Right Class For Your Dog

(Classes will resume Spring 2011)

We’ve all been in fitness training classes that seemed too easy, or made us feel like we’re over our heads. Let’s get your dog started on the right track with the program that best fits Fido’s level of fitness. Read the descriptions below, but if you have any questions, please contact us. Or consult your veterinarian.

Class 1: Fit Fundamentals

Hold your dog’s upper body firmly. Can you easily feel your dog’s ribs? Does the torso taper at the waist? If not, you probably have a Chubby Puppy, and Fit Fundamentals is for you.

Class 2: Super Fit

We’ve created this class for dogs that are already basically fit. The goals in Super Fit are to maintain fitness, as well as toning and tightening.
